Environmental Engineering and Management of Areas Affected by Mines: Australian and German Experiences - Volume I
This eBook and its two companion volumes were drawn from the vast experiences of two organizations in environmental engineering and management. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Australia, and Lausitzer and Mitteldesche Bergbau- Verwaltungsesellschaft mbH. Germany (LMBV), standing for Lusatian and Central German Mining Administration Company Ltd, have contributed greatly to the growth of knowledge in the areas of both operating and closed mines and mining areas.

Several offices, universities and institutes in both the countries, notable among them the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research Helmholtz-Zentrum Fur Umweltforschung (UFZ), Divisions of Water and Soil Sciences, Germany and the University of New South Wales, Australia also contributed greatly to the effort.
